Defensor Group appoints Niclas Colliander as new CEO and Group President. Meanwhile, the company's former CEO Max Jägerbring takes on a new role in the management team.
According to a press release from Defensor, Niclas Colliander will assume the role of CEO and Group President on 1 April 2026. He has a background as a combat pilot in the Swedish Air Force and has subsequently worked at Boston Consulting Group and served as CEO of Metrea Simulations.
– It feels incredibly exciting and rewarding to continue developing Defensor together with Max and the team. The capability that has been built up in a short period of time is impressive and creates excellent conditions for building a long-term player that contributes to increased impact in the Nordic defence industry, says Niclas Colliander in the press release.
At the same time, Max Jägerbring is stepping down as CEO and moving into the role of Chief Business Officer within the group, with responsibility for group-wide initiatives and customer-facing work.
– I look forward to working together with Niclas and our businesses to build Defensor into a group with long-term relevance for the Nordic defence industry and with a clear grounding in the needs of our customers, says Max Jägerbring in the press release.
In a post on LinkedIn, Max Jägerbring states that over the course of just over six months, the company has brought together four businesses within the defence sector and established Defensor as a long-term venture in the Nordic defence industry. He describes Colliander's background as a combination of operational experience, technical expertise, and strategic leadership.
NDS reported last week that one of Defensor's subsidiaries, SAFE4U, recently appointed Erik Jeppsson as its new CEO, with a background from Aimpoint.
