The Swedish defence industry group Defensor Group AB is acquiring 40 percent of the shares in Novator Solutions AB through a directed new share issue. The investment aims to accelerate the company's development of systems for signals intelligence and electronic warfare. The deal is expected to be fully completed during the first quarter of 2026.

– With Defensor, we gain a truly long-term owner who provides resources and understands both the products we develop and the needs of our customers, says Henrik Ulfhielm, CEO of Novator.

According to a press release from Defensor, Novator was founded in 2007 and had a turnover of approximately 40 million kronor in 2025. The technology company develops its own software and hardware in the fields of signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare (EW). The customer base mainly consists of defence and security-related authorities in Sweden and abroad.

The agreement initially gives Defensor a minority stake, but also includes options that allow for a transition to majority ownership over time. Until then, Novator Consulting Group remains the largest owner, and Henrik Ulfhielm continues in his role as CEO. The acquisition is financed through Defensor's existing cash reserves and is now awaiting approval from the relevant authorities.

– Through the investment, we strengthen Swedish industrial capacity in the field and create conditions for long-term development in close cooperation with authorities, says Max Jägerbring, CEO of Defensor.
