Hägglunds states that they "are proud of the visit by Sweden's and Denmark's Prime Ministers Ulf Kristersson and Mette Frederiksen, as well as hosting the NATO countries' press conference on the importance of cooperation in the defense sector!" on X (formerly Twitter).
In March, Denmark signed a maintenance agreement and ordered mid-life modifications for its existing CV90 fleet.
At the turn of the year, Sweden and Denmark signed a joint declaration of intent for additional Combat Vehicle 90s to be procured for Ukraine.
In October, FMV announced that the first steps had been taken to replace the CV90s that Sweden donated to Ukraine.
After the tour, the prime ministers held a press conference at Hägglunds' premises, where Ulf Kristersson stated that the visit was conducted, among other things, to discuss European defense cooperation and the defense industry, as well as that Europe needs to take greater responsibility for Europe's security.
– A strong Europe acts and takes responsibility for its own security. This requires ambitious and long-term investments in our defense. It requires a more robust defense industry, which will be our guarantee for security and safety in a troubled world, said Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
