The Danish Home Guard is set to receive new and expanded equipment during the first half of 2026. According to a press release from the Danish Defence Materiel and Procurement Agency (FMI), the agency has intensified the procurement pace to accommodate the growing number of volunteers and ensure that Home Guard soldiers have the same type of equipment as regular personnel.

The press release states that FMI aims to deliver materiel to the units as quickly as possible.

The planned equipment includes, among other things, summer sleeping bags and more winter sleeping bags with bivy bags, combat gloves, a new field ration pack, backpacks, Surefire EP7 hearing protection, multitools, and headlamps.

Additionally, the procurement includes rifles M/25 (Colt Canada C8 Modular Railed Rifle), sights from SpecterDR for automatic rifles and light machine guns, night vision equipment, and VooDoo-B thermal cameras, as well as vests from TYR.
