The headquarters of the Danish Army's 1st Brigade, around 50 soldiers, will move from Holstebro (western Denmark) to Ryes Kaserne in Fredericia (southern Denmark) from the beginning of 2027, according to Forsvaret (Danish Defence).

The purpose is to position the headquarters closer to the Føringsstøtteregimentet (Combat Support Regiment) in Fredericia, which supports command functions with communications and staff support. According to Danish Defence, the new location will also make it possible to staff the headquarters more quickly by recruiting from regiments across Denmark.
