The government has appointed Daniel Lilja as the new Defence Inspector for Health and Environment (FIHM) within the Swedish Armed Forces. He will assume the position on 1 August, according to a press release from the Government Offices.

Lilja is currently the head of one of the supervisory departments at the Health and Social Care Inspectorate. He has previously held leading positions within Region Jönköping, including as operations manager for ambulance services and as section and preparedness manager.

The supervisory responsibility also includes certain activities at the Swedish Fortifications Agency, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, and the National Defence Radio Establishment.
