– Uniform at Work Day is a great opportunity to acknowledge our employees who make an extra effort outside of work, in an important area. Together, we create resilience in society, says Emma Wikström, business area manager and office manager at Combitech in Trollhättan, in the press release.
The day is an annual tradition within the Home Guard and is emphasized as an important joint activity. The goal is to promote defense willingness and showcase the Home Guard as a central part of Sweden's defense. Employees at companies then have the opportunity to share more about their involvement in the Home Guard with their colleagues.
– Uniform at Work Day gives me an opportunity to showcase and tell who we are. The Home Guard is a wartime unit that is an important part of the Armed Forces, says Per Nilsson, who works at Combitech.
During the morning, Combitech received a visit from the Skaraborg Group in the Western Military Region, led by its commander Lieutenant Colonel Mats Bergh, to mark the day.
– We are a military region group responsible for training the Home Guard units within our area, in this case, Skaraborg. The Home Guard everywhere, always, and today at Combitech in Trollhättan, says Mats Bergh.
