- The students are skilled and incredibly ambitious. Above all, they are proficient in mechanics. They are less accustomed to advanced technology, but they learn quickly. Everyone wants to learn and everyone wants to do their best. It is clearly noticeable, even when they are tired and have worked long and hard, says one of the Swedes.
On January 19, the Swedish government presented a comprehensive support package to Ukraine. The support package included, among other things, the Archer artillery system from BAE Bofors and the Combat Vehicle 90 from BAE Hägglunds. It is the Combat Vehicle 9040C variant that Sweden has donated. The Cesar variant has, among other things, enhanced protection and is the same variant that Sweden has used in Afghanistan and Liberia.
Today, the Swedish Armed Forces announce that the Ukrainian soldiers have left Sweden. According to an article from the Swedish Armed Forces, the training pace has been high and the days long. The combat experiences have ranged from recently mobilised individuals to those who enlisted the day after Russia's full-scale attack last year.
- Some have zero experience with combat vehicles or tanks, but many have experience with Russian combat vehicles of the BMP-1 type. This helps a lot even though our vehicles are, of course, significantly sharper and much more advanced technically, says another of the trainers.
