The Swedish cybersecurity company Clavister has been awarded an initial contract for a Cross Domain solution developed in collaboration with Saab. The solution is to be integrated into an advanced defence system being developed and manufactured by a European defence manufacturer. The end customer is the armed forces in a Western European country.
– This contract marks an important step in our joint development of the Cross Domain solution together with Saab and demonstrates a growing demand for trusted, European-developed cybersecurity components in advanced defence systems, says John Vestberg, CEO of Clavister, in a press release.
The Cross Domain solution is intended for secure information exchange between systems operating at different security levels and in different domains. The solution is to be used in defence environments with high demands on information security.
It was in July 2025 that Clavister and Saab entered into a partnership aimed at strengthening cybersecurity solutions and developing new products for secure communication. In connection with the announcement, Clavister's CEO John Vestberg stated that the company saw the partnership as a foundation for joint product development.
The initial order includes a limited number of units and has an order value in the lower single-digit million range. Deliveries are planned to commence in the second quarter of 2026 and continue throughout the remainder of the year. Additional orders may also be placed over time.
According to Clavister, the contract strengthens the company's role as a supplier of cybersecurity solutions for defence platforms and other mission-critical systems. The assignment aligns with the company's strategy to collaborate with European defence and system integrators.
