Saab has received an order from the Canadian government for the short-range air defense system RBS 70 NG. The order value is approximately 1.8 billion SEK, and deliveries will begin in 2024. The order includes all equipment required to operate the RBS 70 NG, including firing units, missiles, transport vehicles, as well as training and support, Saab states in a press release.

-  We are delivering a well-proven, effective air defense system that provides countries with a very important capability in a troubled world, says Saab's CEO and President Micael Johansson in the press release.

Saab states that through the deal, the company will support Canada's air defense capability in the long term, with a particular focus on the Canadian Armed Forces' presence in Latvia, which is also a user country from before.
