Björneborg Steel AB, operating in Björneborg and Kristinehamn, has secured an order for propeller shafts for an undisclosed number of naval vessels for an unnamed NATO country. The order value amounts to just over 50 million kronor, and the shafts will be delivered over the next three years, according to a press release from the company.

- This is absolutely cutting-edge technology in terms of material properties and technical execution in the form of steel composition, forging technology, dimensions, dimensional tolerances, and surface requirements. We have had a close collaboration with this customer for a long time, and the end user is a NATO country. It also shows that the investments the company has made in recent years with a state-of-the-art deep hole drilling machine and world-class finishing capability have been strategically important for this customer segment, says CEO Håkan Dedorsson and continues:
