The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has signed a multi-year agreement with Avioniq AB to introduce their AqLab and AqModel software within the Swedish Ministry of Defence and its defence agencies. The contract followed a two-year evaluation and validation process conducted by FMV, according to a post on the company's LinkedIn page.

The agreement will give defence agencies access to the software to enable capability development in the area of machine learning-based decision support for improved survivability of combat aircraft, the company states.

"FMV's acquisition validates the precision of our technologies and is an important first step towards our goal of offering a software-based modelling solution for governments, air forces and agencies seeking to improve the efficiency of their training and operational supply chain for air combat applications within BVR (Beyond Visual Range)," said Mikael Grev, founder and CEO of Avioniq, in the post. He continued:

"We are pleased to continue supporting FMV in exploring how our state-of-the-art modelling framework can enable innovative change within their organisation."
