Scandinavian Astor Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Mikroponent for a maximum purchase price of approximately 40 million SEK. Mikroponent is an industrial company specializing in laser cutting and etching, with defense products as one of its core areas, according to a press release from Astor.

Astor states that they see opportunities to expand their operations and create conditions for even greater sales to the defense sector. The companies will largely target the same customer groups within the Nordic defense industry and already have a number of common customers.

– We are proud to announce that today we have entered into an agreement to acquire Mikroponent, whose operations consist of over one-third defense customers. In this segment, it is largely the same customers we encounter in the group today. By allowing Mikroponent to become part of the Astor family, we can thus become an even more significant subcontractor to these, achieve economies of scale on the sales side, and at the same time achieve cross-selling to new customers, says Odd Werin, CEO of Astor Group in the press release.
