Uudenkaupungin Työvene Oy, a subsidiary of Summa Defence Plc, announces that it has signed a contract with the German Armed Forces' procurement organisation (Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr - BAAINBw). According to the company, the project strengthens their position as a supplier to government and military customers, according to a press release.
– This project demonstrates our ability to deliver highly specialised vessels tailored to demanding operational needs, says Nils P. Olschner, Director of Sales & Business Development at Työvene.
The vessel will be built at Työvene's shipyard in Uusikaupunki (Uusikaupunki, Finland), and will be stationed in Neustadt in Holstein, Germany. According to Työvene, it can transport up to 60 people between port and larger vessels at sea. The company states that SWATH technology provides high stability and facilitates safe transfers even in challenging sea conditions.

Delivery is scheduled after completion, testing, and sea trials in 2026.
