The 25-year-old Mathias Solli has been appointed as a political adviser in the Norwegian Ministry of Defence. He thereby succeeds Sandra Kalland Tenud, who left the position earlier this autumn.

– Mathias is dedicated and skilled. I look forward to working with him, says Defence Minister Tore O. Sandvik in a press release from the Government of Norway.

According to the press release, Solli most recently held a role as a communications adviser for the Labour Party in the Trøndelag County Council. He is the chairman of the Indre Fosen Labour Party and has previously held several positions of trust within both the Labour Party and its youth organisation AUF.

Solli studies political science and law at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the University of Tromsø (UiT). He has held roles in both municipal politics in Indre Fosen Municipality and regional politics in Trøndelag County.

– I look forward to contributing to the important work that the Ministry of Defence and the Labour Party government are doing to strengthen Norway's defence and future security, says Mathias Solli.
