SES Group establishes operations in Östersund through its subsidiary SES Integration. The company will provide unit-level maintenance and production capacity of defense materiel, the company states in a press release.

Östersund's Municipal Commissioner, Niklas Daoson (S), sees the establishment as a win-win.

– The investment that SES Group is making in Östersund benefits everyone. More job opportunities are added to the region, and it becomes an important part of our continued growth. Additionally, SES's establishment benefits a network of other local industries. We are proud of our contribution to a safer Sweden and Europe, he says in the press release.

SES already has operations in Finland and Norway with roles in the respective defense forces' operational maintenance and material supply. The Norwegian subsidiary, Ritek AS, signed an agreement with BAE Systems this spring for the production of two new variants of the combat vehicle 90 for the Swedish Armed Forces.

– The NATO corridor is an important region for strongly contributing to peace and security in Europe. Through the establishment in Östersund, the SES Group places itself in the middle of the strategically important corridor. Together with Ritek AS and Conlog Oy, a strong belt and a Nordic support hub with local adaptations and Nordic integration is created, says Sverker Göranson, former Supreme Commander and now senior advisor to SES Group.

Ola Lundqvist, CEO of SES Group, says they are determined to contribute to Östersund.

– We are enthusiastic about our presence in Östersund and being part of a region with such strategically important significance. Our goal is to offer innovative, flexible, and high-quality solutions that will benefit the region and our customers as well as partners, says Ola Lundqvist.
