FMV has signed a contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds to order 50 combat vehicles of the CV9035 MkIII C model. At the same time, Denmark has placed an order for 115 vehicles, and the two countries are jointly making a confidential order of combat vehicles for Ukraine. The total order value for the three countries is estimated at approximately 25 billion Swedish kronor.

The signing took place at FMV's headquarters Tre Vapen in Stockholm. A CV90 combat vehicle was displayed in the courtyard, and executives from Hägglunds, FMV, and the Danish procurement authority FMI participated in a joint press conference.

FMV was represented by Brigadier General Jonas Lotsne, head of the Army Materiel division. Representatives from the Danish FMI and the Danish army were also present.

– This is a good day for FMV. I want to thank the staff at FMI and Hägglunds for the good cooperation, said Jonas Lotsne.

His Danish counterpart, Lieutenant General Per Pugholm Olsen, head of FMI, added:

– I want to start by thanking Hägglunds and FMV for the good cooperation. The agreement demonstrates the close ties between Denmark and Sweden. Without this, we would not have been able to order the same system or have the agreement in place so quickly.

The 50 combat vehicles that FMV is now ordering will replace those previously donated to Ukraine. The model ordered is CV9035 MkIII C.

Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, CEO of Hägglunds, highlighted the importance of the cooperation and the opportunities the agreement creates for the future.

– First, I want to thank Sweden and Denmark for the trust. I look forward to the long-term cooperation that awaits, he said.

To FSN, Gustafsson-Rask stated that the deal was a significant part of the company's decision to open a new production line.

– Looking at the previous, this, and next year, we are investing three billion kronor to increase capacity. This program, which we agreed on today, is one of the largest in the company's history.

FSN: It has been discussed that the Nordic countries and Lithuania will jointly procure a model of the CV90 in the future. Is this deal a model for that?

– We see only advantages with joint procurements. We have a successful collaboration with Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Germany regarding the armored tracked vehicle BvS10. It reduces administration for all parties and harmonizes maintenance, logistics, and training, he concluded.
