BAE Systems Häglunds has received additional contracts worth a total of 68 million dollars for the production of 44 Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicles (CATV) for the US Army. The order includes an addition of 48 million dollars to the existing contract in August 2022, as well as 20 million dollars in funding for 2025, according to a press release from Hägglunds.

CATV, which is part of the BvS10 family, is based on the armoured Beowulf variant and replaces the previous Bv206 for Arctic operations, the company writes.

– CATV offers a dynamic combination of mobility and flexibility that enables the US Army to act quickly in all terrains. We are proud to support further CATV production for the US Army and are confident that the vehicle's ability to traverse all terrains and its modular design will meet their future needs, enabling them to carry out a range of missions, from military operations to humanitarian aid and disaster response, says Dean Medland, Vice President of Sustainment & International at BAE Systems.
