The agreement includes the development of a pre-series boat and serial production of up to 100 boats. The framework agreement runs for three years, with the possibility of extension in three two-year periods, with an additional 6 years of support for spare parts and maintenance.
– We look forward to contributing to the Swedish Armed Forces' development and maritime capability, says Johan Lantz, CEO of Svekon.
The boat, based on the Alukin CW950, will be approximately 10 metres long and built in aluminium. It has the capacity for two crew members and eight passengers. The collaboration is led by Svekon, together with Alukin Boats and Nimbus Group, ensuring that the boat meets the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements.
– Alukin's fully welded aluminium boats have become known for their robust construction and high durability. The order is a confirmation of Nimbus Group's ability to design and produce boats that meet the highest demands in terms of both technical specifications and quality, says Jan-Erik Lindström, CEO of Nimbus Group.
