Finland has decided to deliver a new package of defence materiel to Ukraine. It is the country's 30th delivery since the full-scale invasion and includes equipment valued at approximately 52 million euros. For operational reasons, no details about the content, delivery method, or timing of the support are provided.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Defence, the support mainly consists of new orders from Finnish companies. In total, Finland has now delivered military support to Ukraine worth 2.9 billion euros.

– The future of a free and secure Europe is being decided in Ukraine. It requires perseverance and backbone from all allies, says Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen in the press release.

Finland has also joined NATO's initiative Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List, PURL, which involves member countries jointly procuring weapon systems for Ukraine from suppliers in the USA.

In the spring of 2025, the Finnish Ministry of Defence launched a programme to order defence materiel from domestic companies for further donation to Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Defence, both Ukraine's needs and the resources of the Defence Forces have been considered in connection with the decision.
