The Danish Defence Materiel and Procurement Agency (FMI) has signed an agreement for additional trucks from Scania. Deliveries will commence in 2026 and aim to enhance the operational capability within the Danish defence.

FMI announces that it is extending the existing collaboration with the truck manufacturer Scania. The new agreement includes the delivery of "a significant number" of vehicles, as well as associated user training and continuous service. Scania states that the Danish defence will have by far the largest Scania fleet in the Danish market once the contract is fully implemented.

The new trucks are intended for broad use within the Danish total defence, including the defence forces, the Home Guard, and the Danish Emergency Management Agency. According to FMI, the trucks play a crucial role in mobility and logistics across all units.

– We begin the year by announcing an expanded collaboration on trucks with a long-standing partner. It is important that the defence has a strong vehicle fleet, and I am therefore very pleased with our new expansion of the collaboration with Scania. At the same time, it pleases me to know that soldiers will soon be provided with more of what enhances combat capability, says Colonel Thomas Øgendahl Knudsen, head of the land division at FMI.
