On December 4, H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria visited the Swedish Soldiers' Homes Association to inaugurate their new office premises. The Crown Princess, who has been the royal patron of the association since 2020, met with staff and elected representatives within the soldiers' homes movement and learned about the organization's activities, according to a press release from the Soldiers' Homes Association.

Representatives from three of the country's 25 soldiers' homes – Annelie Svensson (Karlskrona), Linda Ericsson (Skövde), and Ulrika Möller (Enköping) – presented the scope of the activities. They highlighted the soldiers' homes as important meeting places for veterans and relatives, as well as a support for the Swedish Armed Forces' conscripts during their free time.

Secretary General Andreas Philipsson spoke about the association's history and its international work within the framework of NATO. He also informed about the ongoing establishment of a soldiers' home in Latvia, where support and recovery will be offered to Swedish personnel at Camp Valdemar starting from January 2025.

The inauguration concluded with the chairman of the Swedish Soldiers' Homes Association, Johan Rydén, giving a speech and cutting the ribbon.
