Magnus Hjort new Director General for the Swedish Psychological Defence Agency
Magnus Hjort has been appointed as the Director General for the Swedish Psychological Defence Agency, ensuring a seamless transition from his previous role as Acting Director General. He looks forward to continuing the development of Sweden's psychological defence.
The Minister announced that Magnus Hjort has been appointed as Director General of the agency to the media during a visit to the MPF's premises in Solna, outside Stockholm. Hjort has served as Acting Director General since November last year when the then Director General, Henrik Landerholm, was appointed as National Security Advisor.
Bohlin concluded his post on X by writing: "Magnus Hjort is the right person to continue leading the agency in a difficult and challenging time".
"I am very pleased to have the government's confidence to be the Director General of the Swedish Psychological Defence Agency for the next six years. This means we can continue to work long-term on building and developing Sweden's psychological defence. At the same time, it is a mission that requires humility. The MPF's mission is challenging in its complexity and has a clear connection to our democracy, our freedom, and our security. I look forward to continuing this work together with all colleagues at the Swedish Psychological Defence Agency," says Magnus Hjort, in the agency's press release.
